How We Came to Be

I first found out about Beanie Babies® the day before Christmas, 1997. I bought some that day as stocking stuffers and as extra gifts for some kids who were coming to visit during the holidays. At that time I made the decision to NOT get into the "craze."

Then, in June of 1998, my sister Renée visited us, and on one of our shopping trips she convinced me that I needed Hippity™, Hoppity™ and Floppity™. Later that day I just had to have Princess™ and Peace Bear™. I learned a lot that day, but mostly that I had to have them all!

I got a book and started keeping track of each one I bought. I was very diligent about how much I paid, what generation tag, and so on. Then Ty retired a whole bunch and released a new set. I immediately realized that the book I had been using was now out of date and useless!

What I needed was a computer program that I could update to keep track of the cost and value of my collection...simply. Lucky for me my husband is a programmer! This program is so wonderful that I wanted to share it with other collectors who were frustrated by out-of-date books.

I hope you enjoy this program as much as I do. It's a must for any avid beanbag collector.
